Top 6: Pixar Movies

This is why I decided to separate my Pixar and Disney lists.

My blog isn’t turning into a “Top 6” niche but they just happened to overlap. The reason for that is Jordandené’s July shirt inspired by none other than the talented Edna Mode. If you use the code Quibbles25 you can get it for 25% off.

I’ll be honest there are some Pixar movies I haven’t seen (Wall-E and Ratatouille) which is why they aren’t included, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to create a list with Disney and Pixar combined. With that being said, onto to the post.

1.) Toy Story

When I was little (and even somewhat today) I had a strange attachment to toys. I felt bad if some were on the floor while others slept on my bed…I blame this movie and I think others can agree. On a different note, I think Buzz and Woody’s friendship development is such a good one and is a lot of fun to watch.

2.) The Incredibles

The best Fantastic Four movie yet…but seriously I don’t have many complaints about The Incredibles. It’s such a different take on a superhero movie since they’re illegal, and what it’s like for them to hide their powers. Plus I think Violet is a character my teenage self can really relate to (personality and looks.)

3.) Monsters Inc.

For most of my life, people called me Boo. Hell I even dressed up as her for Halloween in high school (this is where I’d put a picture of myself but alas, I couldn’t find it.) I just love the idea of a world where monsters live and how it started the idea of them hiding in kids closets.

4.) Brave

At this point, everyone knows how tired I get of love interests, so the first time I saw Brave I couldn’t help but give a sigh of relief. Merida shoots for her own hand…and it made my life. It shows that a cartoon movie with a princess doesn’t need to have any romance.

5.) Finding Nemo

I love the ocean and I like sea creatures so this one explains itself. Actually, what I love is the diversity amongst the sea life and how well-researched it is. I remember before it came out, Disney Channel showed behind-the-scenes of the making and how scuba divers researched the Coral Reef and the migration of sea turtles.

I hope that’s real or else my brain made that up.

6.) UP

The first time I watched UP was in high school during an English class and no one warned me the beginning is emotional. I know I shouldn’t have been surprised but cue me wiping my nose on my sweatshirt sleeve so no one would notice.

I’m a sucker for grumpy characters softening up to those around them.

I’m so glad you included Brave as I think it’s really underrated, she’s one of my favourite princesses ever! If I had to pick a top 6 it would probably be in no particular order: Brave, Toy Story 3, The Incredibles 2, Inside Out, Monsters Inc and Finding Dory! I don’t know why but with Pixar films I usually much prefer the sequels to the originals like Finding Nemo, Toy Story 1 & 2 and The Incredibles, I also like Cars 3 the most out of all of them too!
