A recap of my favorite books, movies, and life from October.
Personal
x In my September 2019 Recap, I talked about starting a new workout program. I also talked about my lower back hurting. Well, apparently my back didn’t want me to do the program because I did one workout and was in pain for days.
x Instead, I started PIYO, a pilates program. I tried doing it years ago but thought it wasn’t “hard” enough considering I prefer HIIT workouts. However, it’s seriously helped my back and helped me feel like myself again.
x I haven’t worked out as much as I’d like to, but slowly getting back into it.
x I went to my first local craft show of the season. It was a nice, cool day, and didn’t get too crowded until we left. We got decorations for the house, new collars for Luna and Avi, and I got one of my favorite things ever, raspberry glazed pie.
x October’s been a bit meh. I always get like this around this time of year between the temperature dropping and it getting darker earlier. As much as I love fall, I’m definitely a spring/summer person. I’m going to try to break out of that next month and get motivated again.
x I am participating in NaNoWriMo next month but still want to keep posting at least once a week. This year I’m writing the sequel to the book I’m working on getting published. I want to be excited about my series again and I think this may help.
Favorites
1.) Shane Dawson “The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star” Series
I watched Shane since I was in middle school and am so happy to see where he is now. Even though I don’t wear that much makeup anymore, I’m actually excited about his line coming out. When they said they were making a clear gloss, I was like, “Oh! I’d wear that!”

2.) Pittsburgh Penguins Season
I’m a big hockey fan and if you don’t know, have the Penguins logo tattooed on my calf. Yeah, and I hardly talk about it. I felt a bit “disconnected” from the team last season, but this time around I’m excited to watch the games and the behind-the-scenes videos.

3.) Crikey! It’s the Irwins Season 2
If you haven’t watched the first season, I highly recommend it. It shows the behind-the-scenes of the Australia Zoo as well as the Irwin family and all the work they’re doing in conservation and saving species.
4.) Supernatural Season 15
Despite not being that caught up with Supernatural, I wanted to watch the last season. I did see the finale last season and got super excited for God/Chuck to be the big bad. Even though we’re only a couple episodes in, I’m enjoying all the callbacks and can’t wait to see who else shows up. Or who dies.
