November 2019 Roundup + Favorites

A recap of my favorite books, movies, television, and miscellaneous from November.

Personal

x This was a slower blogging month as I focused the first few weeks on NaNoWriMo, which I won (yay.) I was pretty much ready to go for weeks, the book laid out in my head, and managed to get it written in 22 days.

x However, on the first, I spent the afternoon waiting to checkout on Jeffree Star’s website as I was one of those people wanting part of the Conspiracy Collection and I can say, I got The Gloss (which I love.)

x I also ended up getting the Mini Controversy on preorder, which should ship in a few weeks.

x And my sister waited online to get me Shane’s “Conspiracies Are Everywhere” sweatshirt. It’s cozy.

x It wasn’t until after NaNoWriMo that I got back into working out. Granted, it wasn’t as much as I wanted but I’m also eating better.

x Excluding Thanksgiving, which was a pretty chill day.

x I also got out of the house and took a trip to Pittsburgh with my mom. She has a doctor’s appointment there every year and we go to the mall after and do some Christmas shopping, but I ended up getting myself an Aristocats Christmas sweater from Boxlunch.

Accomplishments

  • NaNoWriMo winner!
  • got Shane Dawson x Jeffree Star’s clear Gloss (yes, an accomplishment)
  • also got the Mini Controversy Palette (this too)
  • also got a Shane hoodie (and this)
  • caught up with my posts at the end of the month
  • emailed one of my favorite skincare brands to see if they want to do a collab/sponsored post. as I write this, I haven’t heard back but I bucked up the courage to do it!

Favorites

Sounds of Someday – Jensen Ackles

A few weeks ago on Supernatural, they played a song Jensen Ackles sang and is now available to buy along with his album (search Radio Company.) I’ve replayed this song too many times and it’s great writing background noise.

Klaus (Netflix)

I looked forward to this movie. It’s a Santa Clause origin story done in 2-D animation. Not only does it look amazing, but it’s a nice story and I really enjoyed it. It’s surprisingly funny and made me cry a few times.

The Mandalorian (Disney+) + Baby Not-Yoda

Even though I already wrote a post about it, I wanted to talk again about The Mandalorian because this was such a surprise. And I fell in love with baby not-Yoda. I can’t wait to own a plushie of it. Oh yes, I am so falling into the Disney trap.

December 2019 Goals

  • get back into a consistent workout routine
  • and eat better, wow
  • post twice a week
  • read at least two books
  • figure out my goals for 2020

I don’t have too many plans for December except to finish Christmas shopping and I hope my family and I will go to Kennywood (an amusement park in Pittsburgh) for their Christmas lights. I’ve been planning it for months.

I also have a chiropractor/massage appointment on the 2nd in the hopes it helps my lower back.

If this is the last post of mine you read until the holidays, I hope everyone can finish up their last-minute 2019 goals and have a good, whatever you celebrate.

Wahoo! It sounds like November was a great month for you! Congratulations on finishing NaNoWriMo! That’s a great accomplishment! And I’m still so jealous that you got The Gloss!! I’m glad it’s as wonderful as it looks though! You’ll have to let me know how the mini Controversy palette is though! I hope they restock soon so I can finally get The Gloss. That’s seriously all I want! *sob* And good for you for working out. It’s something I need to get into, but I’ve been dealing with some fatigue though. Blah. I can’t wait to see how your December goes! 🙂

I would love to watch The Mandalorian but I don’t like how it’s locked behind a subscription and I’m just a dinosaur who wants to save money without having to sign up for all these subscriptions, streaming, etc. so until that changes, I’ll just have to miss out. Oh you’re watching His Dark Materials too? Yay!

Congratulations and well done! I confess I started the NaNoWriMo but didn’t finish. Real life, as it sometimes does, got in the way. I do love the way you make goals for each month and then acknowledge your achievements. Such a great thing to do!

Well done on getting the Shane/Jeffree merch! I watched the whole series – I love both of them!

Whenever I see ‘Klaus’ my brain goes to Klaus Hargreeves. Oops! XD
